Today I would love to share with you a short photo story about a UNESCO city Bamberg in Southern Germany, about 1 hour from Nurnberg and 2 hours from Munich by train. This is an amazing opportunity to spend a day (and a night) enjoying the fleur of the old Germany.
The buildings in the old town were built between 11th and 19th century, therefore the city looks like a cartoon village from Hansel and Gretel. Bamberg was far away from any military point, therefore you will see many original facades. It is not overpopulated by tourists, and after 22 you will find almost no foreigners on the streets. There are an old town, a castle and a monastery open to you in Bamberg.
If you look for a magical experience in an old German city – this is a place to go!

Executive lounge-the only positive part of having a BF in the consulting business. At least, one gets hotel benefits on vacations for living 5 days a week away from home..
In Russia, I was a “strong 5 from 10” type. Small, curvy, well educated, with many interests in various areas, I was not in the centre of attention. Surprisingly, this has changed once I moved abroad – but not necessarily for the best. This article will be a summary of stories from some countries, which shows, how men around the world are fixed on the idea of “Russian brides”, and how to deal with that.
Looking for more security, political stability, financial opportunities, better healthcare systems, Russians are ready to invest an impressive amount of money in an opportunity to move to another country. As Russians get less and less satisfied with the life in the country, the amount of agencies promising an almost guaranteed place in summer schools, universities, companies etc. grows as well. This article will be concentrated on pros and contras of working with “work&study aboard” agencies. What can you expect from them? When are their services pointless? What should you look at by yourself when preparing a big change in your life? Let’s talk about it openly.
This article is dedicated to Russian medicines, which one can buy without a recepie only in Russia. As the application of such medicines requires good knowledge of the Russian language, there will be no translation of this article for your own safety.
For my international readers: We usually don’t speak about this topic with foreigners, as we don’t expect people, who don’t know how life in Russia looks like, to understand our point of view. So please be nice in commenting, as this is a very difficult topic to talk about 😉
The reasons, why being gay is not widely accepted in Russia, are very complex.
During my international Master program, I spent the first semester in Barcelona. There I have seen a scene when two guys with long beards were lying on the grass and kissing each other – and I felt uncomfortable. Nevertheless, not because that was a homosexual couple, but because they have been kissing in public. I came from a very conservative country, we do not really appreciate that.
The topic “Sneaky photographer” will give some ideas on travels to places, which will not be on the first page of every travel guide. As long as possible, I will also add pictures from sights, where no pictures are usually allowed (but I am a SNEAKY photographer, you know, and I always switch off the lighting when making pictures of wood, gold and paintings!).
No worries, I am not going to turn my career blog into another travel blog – but I love to share what I see from time to time 😉
Many people don’t know that one can actually visit the Grand Kremlin Palace, situated in Kremlin itself, both the new part (where our emperors were sitting – now those rooms are used by our President for all official occasions) and the old part (where our Tsars lived and ruled).
